Fertility and Assisted Conception

You may have been trying to conceive for a while and nothing has happened. Or you may have conceived and then sadly miscarried. Or you might be about to undergo fertility treatment. It’s natural to sometimes feel like you are the only one this is happening to and that it’s something that you’re doing wrong. It’s absolutely not and you’re not alone.

Around one in six couples may experience difficulty conceiving (approximately 3.5 million people in the UK), with as many as one in three dealing with fertility problems. One in six will go on to seek medical help with conception. Source: www.worldfertilityexpert.co.uk

People may not talk about it but you are not alone in the issues you are facing; and we are here to help you.

Reproductive Reflexology may work on two levels to promote your natural fertility.

  • To work with physical conditions that may be affecting your fertility. These include both female and male fertility factors.
  • To reduce levels of stress. Something that reflexology is especially well-known for!

Reproductive Reflexology can also be used alongside conventional treatments, such as Clomid, with fully medicated cycles of IUI, IVF and ICSI, and also with donor eggs.

With over 62,000 cycles of IVF and ICSI being performed in 2012, assisted conception treatments are increasingly used, many with positive results.

Reproflexology ™ has been designed to work alongside you before, during and after IVF or medicated cycles. We work to both enhance your treatments and increase the likelihood of a positive outcome by boosting your body’s own mechanisms, as well as supporting both of you during what may be a challenging and potentially isolating time.

Each treatment is designed for you and your partner as individuals and in no way substitutes the advice, tests and treatment you may receive from qualified medical professionals.

You are not alone during what may be a challenging and potentially isolating time.

We have also set up two completely confidential online support groups for anyone dealing with any fertility issues or undergoing IVF treatment: Gloucestershire Fertility Support and Gloucestershire & Beyond IVF.
They are places for you to share your experiences and anxieties with others who understand, to receive support and the chance to speak openly in a safe space where no-one will judge. Due to the sensitive nature of the groups, no one will be able to see them or find them online, who is a member or what is being discussed so complete confidentiality can be assured.
If you feel this is something you may benefit from, just drop us an email.
